ID Card Technology has been building credentialing software since the early days of digital photo ID — long before the category had a name. Thirty years later, the software is still in production, still being actively developed, and still supported by the people who built it.

Company Story

The company was founded on a straightforward premise: credentialing software should be reliable, manageable, and built for the organizations that depend on it — not for the demo. What started as a specialized tool for early adopters of digital ID technology has grown into a platform deployed across healthcare systems, government agencies, transit authorities, and enterprise organizations. The product has been through every Windows generation, every industry shift, and every wave of new competitors. It is still here because it works.

Experience that shows up in the details

Thirty years of production deployments means the edge cases aren’t surprises — they’re documented. The data structures that cause problems in large healthcare environments, the access control integrations that require specific configuration, the card design workflows that break down for infrequent users — ID Card Technology has seen all of it, and built for it. That institutional knowledge is what you’re buying. The software is the proof.

Who you'll be working with...

Jonathan Kwong leads enterprise operations, sales, and go-to-market strategy for ID Card Technology. With an MBA and a background in operations strategy and analytics, Jonathan brings the business infrastructure and client-facing discipline the company needed to grow its direct and channel sales motion.

The technical foundation of the platform was built by ID Card Technology’s founding engineer — with more than 30 years of hands-on credentialing software development. That depth of institutional knowledge is not available from a vendor who entered the market five years ago.

Built to last. Backed by people who answer

ID Card Technology is not a venture-backed platform optimizing for growth at the expense of the customer relationship. It is a specialized, operationally focused business with 30 years of skin in the game. The same people who built the software support it. The same people who handle sales handle implementation. That is not a limitation — it is the point.
